If I modify a 2G Eclipse GST (turbo upgrade, body kit, lights, ect.) couldn’t I easily transfer to a GSX?
I have been looking for a GSX to mod out forever but I continually find a GST’s at loooow prices. Could I buy an automatic GST and mod out the engine (rebuild it to withstand around 50 pounds of boost) upgrade the turbo to a 16G or 22G, maybe toss in a small NoS kit, install a body kit and head/taillights, upgrade suspension and brakes, new wheels (rim+tire), racing seats, and so on. Than take all of the crap and transfer it to a manual GSX Shell when I finally find one? The GST transmission will not work with the AWD GSX I know. But will the GST engine match up to the AWD Trans? Will I have to further mod to hook an Automatic Transmission Engine to an AWD Manual? I want the engine to be able to withstand 50 PSI just for safety I was not planning on getting 50 PSI from a turbo, I just want a limit. I would be looking for a 22psi turbo or maybe a little more.
Why not just save your pennies and then buy an EVO? FYI, this is yahoo Answers, not yahoo right a god damn book.
